Pasadena's parks, schools and community centers will be hosting exciting activities for all ages this summer. Summer Program runs from June 11 to Aug. 17. More information: in English and also online at http://activenet11.active.com/cityofpasadena/

Make college dreams a reality for your son or daughter by enrolling them in the new Educational Talent Search program sponsored by Pasadena City College! Students selected to participate will receive pre-college advisement, career exploration, academic tutoring, invitation to workshops to learn study and life skills, attend field trips to colleges and universities, and much more!  All program services are free. All students must have a TDAP vaccine on record in the Health Office. Students without the vaccine should have it no later than August 1st, 2012. Incoming 6th Grade parents need to bring proof of TDAP by June 1st, 2012. Students without proof of the vaccine will not be allowed in school.   • Order your Wilson yearbook! Until May 1 the cost is $20.00. After that it will be $25.00. Order forms are available in the main office.
  • Lost & Found: All clothing/items not claimed by June 1st, 2012 will be donated to Families in Transition.
  • Applications for the Summer LEARNs program are in the main office and available on the Wilson Website. It is free for middle school students! It will be here at Wilson and there will be a bus. The deadline is the beginning of May so hurry! More Information and Registration Form
  • There is also the Pasadena Educational Foundation Middle & High School Summer Program. Credit and enrichment classes offered. More Information.
  • Library overdue fines? Do a good deed and pay for your fines at the same time… “Food for Fines” is still in effect for a short while. Bring in canned foods to pay for your library fines.

THIS Wednesday March 28 from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM. PHS Principal Mr Barraza will be speaking about what's happening at Pasadena High School. Bring your questions & enthusiasm! PHS Student Cafeteria, 2925 E. Sierra Madre Blvd. Parking is available in the lot south of the school on Sierra Madre Blvd.

On March 22 Wilson's drum corp, choir, and dance teams represented their school proudly at the PTA Founders Day luncheon at the Brookside Country Club. The Wilson drum corp, choir, dance team performed - the theme was "One Sound, One Voice, One World". The performance included African Dance, Salsa and Shuffle. As one of the students who participated shared, "Wilson was so good ♥ I'm so proud to be a student there!"

This Saturday February 18, 2012, the Wilson marching band and flag squad will be in the African American Heritage Parade! Come out to cheer them on!

African American Heritage Parade
starts at 10AM
Charles White Park, Altadena
Parade ends at approximately 11:30AM at the Jackie Robinson Community Center 
 
Wilson participants will be meeting between 8:45 and 9am on Ventura St., the north side of the park. Please remember to wear your Wilson band t-shirt and blue jeans. Leave all instrument cases in the car and be sure to practice at home in order to memorize the music. There are two mandatory rehearsals next week, Wednesday, February 15 and Friday, February 17 from 3:30-4:30 pm.

TDAP Vaccine
Parents/Guardians
All students should now have a TDAP vaccine on record in the Health Office. After September 30th, any student without proof of the vaccine will not be allowed in school.
